Generic onboarding sequences send the same emails to every user regardless of what they told you at sign-up. This Zap sequence stores every survey answer, feature interaction, and stated goal in retainr — and uses that memory to personalize each subsequent onboarding email.
A user who said they're an agency owner gets different day-3 tips than a solo freelancer. The memory accumulates across the whole sequence so later emails reference early responses naturally.

Setup steps
- 1Connect your survey tool (Typeform or Tally) as the trigger
- 2Add a Webhooks by Zapier action to store survey answers in retainr
- 3Add your retainr API key to the webhook Authorization header
- 4Clone the Zap for each onboarding email step (day 1, 3, 7)
- 5In each cloned Zap, add a retainr memory search then a ChatGPT personalisation step before the email send
